found the right place.
This beautiful
traditional prairie church and provincial heritage site will be a
magical setting for your Christian wedding.

Jack Crawford and Ester Long were the
first "Formal" wedding at this church on September 9, 1929.
Having your wedding
at this historic MD of Rockyview church will let you begin your
marriage
in a setting with an atmosphere of tradition and elegance without the
rigid rules of other churches.
Having your wedding at
Wedding in the Country
will allow you the
freedom of choice not available anywhere else.
You are free to
throw rose petals!
You are free to use flash photography!

We know that you are
a unique couple and we honor your decision to have a wedding that is
truly
your own creation. Our goal is to provide you with the opportunity to
have the wedding of your dreams.
The church was built
in 1919. It contains the original hand carved pews and features an
upright piano and electric organ.
The sanctuary can be
decorated with lace, ribbon and silk flowers.
The pews can be supplied with pew-bows. You are free to add flowers and
the accessories of your choice.
Below is a picture of the sanctuary that was decorated for one of our
autumn weddings.

The sanctuary seats
150 people comfortably, and is handicap accessible.
Up to 200 guests can
be accomodated by opening up the side rooms and the balcony.

Weddings are done on
a first come, first served basis.
The fee for the use of the church for your wedding ceremony is $500.
A $100 deposit is required to reserve the date and time of your
ceremony.
Fees include a minister and an accompianist (organ or piano), although
you are welcome to bring your own for the same fee.
We also have a
modern sound-system allowing you to play your own CD/DVD/MP3 music as
background, procession/recession, and soloist accompaniment.

The grounds have
lots of great places for photos.

As well as some
beautiful natural
